Heizer | Paul was founded on the

Our firm maintains a focus on assisting human resources professionals with employment and employee benefits issues. We routinely handle executive compensation concerns that arise throughout the employment relationship and devote much of our time to negotiating, drafting, and reviewing employment agreements and severance documents.
Our litigation and dispute resolution practice forms the core of our work. We have substantial experience litigating contract disputes – particularly those related to construction projects, real estate transactions, and human resources issues. We regularly handle cases involving ERISA-governed employee benefit plans, as well as general commercial disputes in mediation, arbitration, and litigation. Our practice includes representing cities and special districts at both the trial and appellate levels in state and federal courts.
In addition to contract-related disputes, we also have a great deal of experience assisting our clients in negotiating a wide array of agreements. Our general business practice includes drafting and reviewing commercial leases, real estate purchase and sale agreements, and construction agreements for design professionals, general contractors, subcontractors, and owners.
Without overstating the case, our training sessions are awesome. At least, that’s what our clients tell us. We’ve developed ways of making even the most mundane issues engaging – and we always make people laugh.
